Frequently Asked Questions

TO ALL CUSTOMERS: It is important to understand that, while we would love for our products to last forever, over time, like any other product, products are expected to have wear and tear. This is all dependent on the environment and level of usage. Once a product leaves our shop, we are not liable for any damages, injuries, or changes in your wood products that may occur. It is the final owner’s responsibility to check on their products often and to care for them to maintain their longevity.

Product information

  • Most of our products are made-to-order, as part-time makers, with full-time gigs, your order can take up to 4-weeks to complete.

*During the holidays turn around time may take up to 5-6 weeks.

However, we continue to try and get your orders completed sooner!

Once your order has been completed and packaged, there may be an additional 2-3 days for us to drop off packages to the post office.

  • We handpick all the wood we use. Natural imperfections of the wood such as knots, nicks, cracks etc. are not seen as flawed to us, we believe this adds character and makes products unique. You will be receiving a one-of-a-kind item. Signs may warp if left outside or in a non-climate controlled environment.

We currently use polyurethane wood finish to coat surfaces, protecting them from scratches and helping to resist water damage. However, it is not 100% and we encourage customers to be aware of where the product is placed and for how long.

  • If your order has been already been created and completed, unfortunately, we will need to charge you for another product order.

We do our best to catch the mistakes on our end as well, but we encourage you to review the spelling, links, etc. before purchasing.

  • We’re sorry to hear that!

Please understand that we have no control over what happens after we drop your item off at the post office. So if your item is damaged when it gets to you, please take a photo and send it to us immediately, so that we can work with the post office to claim this problem.

  • Depending on the product and supply cost, we may consider doing a discount for bulk orders. Please contact us directly on instagram @happycoffeedesigns or by emailing us at happycoffeedesigns@gmail.com.

  • We currently purchase our t-shirts and produce them in-house. Which means we make a handful of t-shirts at a time. We currently heat press our t-shirts using Siser Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV). To ensure the longevity of your t-shirts, we include care instructions on our t-shirt tags.

We have some pre-made, screen printed t-shirts made through a third party seller (often Printful) in case we for some instance run out of blank shirts.

Our t-shirt sizes are dependent on our supplier and sometimes sizes are back ordered. We recommend signing up for our waitlist and when we restock you'll be one of the first to know!

Payments

  • We accept all major credit cards that are processed through Stripe, our third-party processing site, and PayPal for items purchased through our website.

Custom orders are invoiced through Stripe, Square, Venmo, or PayPal. We do not accept cash payments.

PRODUCT CARE + SUGGESTIONS

CARING FOR YOUR WOOD PRODUCTS

Due to the nature of wood products, products left outside and/or in humid environments can cause wood to warp. While we seal each wood with a waterproof sealant, this does not guarantee that this product will remain in the state from when you first receive it.

MOUNTING YOUR SIGNS ON THE WALL

We currently DO NOT offer mounting supplies (excluding LED signs) for any of our signs nor do we mount signs for customers at this time due. We leave it to the consumer to determine how they would like it mounted, whether it’d be nailed, velcroed, double-sided tape, etc.

However, here are some mounting suggestions that we’ve seen frequently used among other customers:

  • Velcro (high quality, industrial strength)

  • Double-sided tape (high quality, industrial strength)

  • Nailed (Recommended for anything 1/4” in thickness or based on your judgement, consider the weight of your product)

FOR ANY WOOD-FRAMED ILLUSTRATIONS

You may consider using double sided or velcro to place onto the wall as the frame itself is light enough to hold. It can also be placed on a shelf leaning against something for support. Larger framed illustrations have the ability to stand upright on it’s own.

For the larger framed illustration, you may choose to hang it on a picture supporting hook (please consider the weight) as it has a space/clearance on the back for support. WE DO NOT recommend nailing for the mini-framed illustration due to it being naturally thin in material.

CARING FOR YOUR ACRYLIC PRODUCT

Acrylic materials are expected to develop scratches over time. This is also dependent on where signs are placed and how they are cared for.

These are also much more FRAGILE than wood products (if they are anything less than 1/4” thick). We often us 1/8” for our materials unless stated otherwise. So it is important to handle them carefully and when storing to place in a box to avoid breaking and/or scratches if not in use.

SETTING UP YOUR TABLE TOP SIGNS

  • When you’re ready to use your sign, please place your base on a flat surface (This is to avoid breaking the stand or sign, especially for acrylic signs).

  • Once your base is on a flat surface, support your QR sign with both hands at the bottom before inserting into the base

  • You should not have to use too much force to put the sign into the base, if you find that you are having to push down harder, flip the base over and try the other side as this will most likely be a more perfect fit.

RECOMMENDATIONS/HELPFUL TIPS

  • For windy days, we recommend placing a heavy item on the back of your sign holding the base down.

  • Wood QR signs are not weatherproof. We recommend keeping wood signs covered if using in rainy weather

  • No sign and base are the same. Each material we cut on may differ in thickness, which we have no control over. If your base breaks, you may need to replace the sign entirely.

CUTTING BOARD CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1. Do not scrub your engraved area, lightly wash.

    2. Do not submerge the cutting board into water for a long period of time as this can cause distortion to the board.

    3. We recommend cutting on the un-engraved side to preserve the quality of your engraving.

    4. Clean with clean damp cloth vs. your normal dish washing routine.

    DISCLAIMER

We use a clear butcher block conditioner containing food-grade mineral oil, which seals the wood and protects the board while allowing you to enjoy the natural beauty of the wood. The oil we use is Howard Butcher Block Conditioner, which is food safe. We do not use stains, so the color you see reflects the natural color or the wood. Please allow for variations in the tone and grain of the wood as they may vary between cutting boards. Each cutting board has it’s own tone of wood

that range between light brown to almost black. Overtime, these grains may lighten depending on wash and usage. These personalized cutting boards are not hand made, but instead purchased separately.
